Baby Emma

My entire life I have wanted red hair. I told my mom about this wish when I was about six and she said: “Well, when you grow up you can dye it.” So for the past three years I have attempted to dye my damaged locks red, the brightest red I could.

Through the door of my studio came the most adorable little baby girl with beautiful blue eyes, teensy fingers and toes and the most perfect red hair. Little Emma is so sweet and so thoroughly loved by her family and every person who comes accross her. I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to document her adorable little newborn features.

Much Love, Kiana McCrackin

Sweet Little Nora

This beautiful baby girl inherited the name Nora from her great-grandmother. I love old names, they make for old souls. My middle name, Lucille, was given to me in honor of both my Mama’s grandma and my Dad’s mom. My romantic heart loved having a piece of my family with me at all times. Little Nora was perfectly named. She is patient, sweet as cheesecake, and an absolute joy to photograph.

Baby Jackson

Meet sweet little Jackson, also known as Mr. Roboto. This baby boy was so cute and hilarious with so much character. When placed on his beautiful mama’s lap he started staring straight ahead while moving his little arms stiffly and he was transformed into Mr. Roboto. He was the perfect little model with his eyes always finding my lens and everytime I thought we had tuckered him out he rallied and gave us the best expressions. It was so much fun capuring both Jackson and his mom, Darlene.

Madeline

I photographed Madeline and her mother Marybeth on a rainy winter day under a canopy of trees at the Montlake Arboretum. They are both so beautiful and were such a joy to work with.

Motherhood is my absolute favorite thing to photograph and I feel so blessed to have been able to capture these two ladies.

The Lambert Family

The Lamberts are such a sweet family full of joy, laughter, and love. Little Lucy looks exactly like her beautiful mama and little Jack looks exactly like his handsome dad. We postponed our original session because we were rained out. I have been so used to sunny Santa Barbara that I found this to be a rude awakening to my new surroundings. On the new date I woke up to rain but the sun peeked it’s head out just in time for our shoot and we had a wonderful (and dry!) time enjoying the last of the fall weather.

The Sele Boys

If I had to describe my session with Deacon and Duke in three words I would use: adorable, energetic, and hilarious. These two brothers were so cute and were the biggest troublemakers in the best way possible. In between the chaos of flying penguins and props that drive were beautiful moments of brotherly love and sweet expressions, and those were the moments I fell in love with.

The Moberg Family

When I knocked on the Moberg front door I was greeted by an adorable little girl in a beautiful full length gown. She looked at me and yelled: “Mom! Dad! Someone is here!” After finding out who I was she promptly proceeded to show me her photo albums which, as a photographer, I thought was wonderful.

We all wen’t walking through fall leaves while the sun tried to peek it’s head out as I took their portraits. I love photographing families, there is so much love and connection. Mia was full of joy and sometimes a little bit of sass and both her parents are so sweet.

The Jorge Family

This is the beautiful Jorge Family. The session was full of laughter, love, and big beautiful smiles which were such a joy to capture.

Logan’s a Senior

This is Logan: computer guy, volunteer, football player, and senior. I was listening to him tell me about his life during this session and I was struck by the thought that being a senior in high school is one of those monumental momments in one’s life that truly deserves to be celebrated. It is a time of great change, decision making, self discovery and excitement.
Logan is certainly on the brink of doing wonderful things and it was such a treat to hear him talk about his aspirations and to be able to document this time of his life. These are a few of the shots from his senior session.
