The Boorman Family

On a sun filled Seattle day my cousin, his beautiful wife, their two children and a baby bump came from Moses Lake for a photoshoot. Owen, the oldest, walked up to me in the very beginning and said: “I have a new tie!” and that’s when I knew it was going to be a fun session.

When people ask me what kind of photography I do, I always say: “I love to chase the toddlers around, I love to take pictures of families and sweet little babies.” For this session I got a little bit of all of that. I got to ¬†run super-hero fast with Owen. I got to be silly and jump up and down in an attempt to get little max to grin and my favorite of all I got to capture an incredible loving family against the gorgeous backdrop of Discovery Park.

Warning: picture overload ahead! I had the hardest time narrowing down which images were my favorite so there are a lot of photographs in this post. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Much Love, Kiana M.

Sweet Little Nora

This beautiful baby girl inherited the name Nora from her great-grandmother. I love old names, they make for old souls. My middle name, Lucille, was given to me in honor of both my Mama’s grandma and my Dad’s mom. My romantic heart loved having a piece of my family with me at all times. Little Nora was perfectly named. She is patient, sweet as cheesecake, and an absolute joy to photograph.

Much Love, Kiana M.

Baby Jackson

Meet sweet little Jackson, also known as Mr. Roboto. This baby boy was so cute and hilarious with so much character. When placed on his beautiful mama’s lap he started staring straight ahead¬†while moving his little arms stiffly and he was transformed into Mr. Roboto. He was the perfect little model with his eyes always finding my lens and everytime I thought we had tuckered him out he rallied and gave us the best expressions. It was so much fun capuring both Jackson and his mom, Darlene.

The Sele Boys

If I had to describe my session with Deacon and Duke in three words I would use: adorable, energetic, and hilarious. These two brothers were so cute and were the biggest troublemakers in the best way possible. In between the chaos of flying penguins and props that drive were beautiful moments of brotherly love and sweet expressions, and those were the moments I fell in love with.

Much Love, Kiana M.

Stella plus Jack

Meet Stella and Jack: friends and silly millies with smiles that will melt your heart.

Photographing these pals reminded me of one of my best friendships from my own childhood. We grew up together because our mothers started a school together very much like Stella and Jack’s mothers who started a children’s consignment clothing business (you can find their products at www.stellaplusjack.com)

One of my favorite memories from my childhood friendship was that we agreed to get married when we grew up because he said he would turn his greenhouse into a pool for my future dolphin. Another memory is when he asked me incredulously: “Why do you always sing when your mad?!” Although I am now engaged to a man who isn’t planning on accomodating a dolphin I do still sing when I am mad. Childhood friendships are such a blessing and I feel lucky to have been able to photograph it.
